Catherine Gran

Catherine's universe is one of motionless vibration, playfulness, and nonchalant elegance.
A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Catherine Gran has held a succession of exhibitions in London, Paris, Florence, and Beirut. Her black-and-white drawings, characterized by an intoxicating precision and a gentle irony, are frequently paired with unusual mediums: large porcelain wall sconces, a classic bronze chandelier, a scale-model Victorian house, and more. For the Parisian house Edmond Petit, she designed five wallpaper and decorative panel collections that achieved worldwide acclaim. In 2017, her creations joined the permanent collection of the MAD (Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris).
