Benjamin Vorms trained at the Ateliers de Sèvres before enrolling at the Beaux-Arts de Rouen in 2004. He quickly chose to pursue an independent artistic practice, which has since been featured in solo and group exhibitions in France and abroad. His figurative painting deliberately distances itself from narrative.
Playing with erasure, reworking, and layering, it explores the mechanisms of perception and the way in which observation, memory, and the imagination coexist within a single image.
